“To create an impressive architectural work that not only embodies local identity but also serves as a landmark for the region—one worthy of symbolizing a new era of educational development in Vietnam.”

With the message “Connecting Communities – Spreading Knowledge – Sustainable Development”, we envisioned UEH as a “Green University”. Our design takes inspiration from Cham architecture, subtly integrating its essence into a profound architectural language—where stories, emotions, and the passage of time are encapsulated in the dialogue between old and new within a tangible space.

The main entrance hall draws inspiration from the Po Nagar Cham Towers in Nha Trang, one of Vietnam’s most significant Cham cultural heritage sites. Two grand octagonal brick columns rise above the reflective water, symbolizing the connection between past, present, and future. Alongside, Cham architectural motifs and traditional cultural activities organized within the hall and square allow students to immerse themselves in the local history and culture.

At the heart of the project lies The Library – The Hill of Knowledge, a space designed to nurture intellectual growth. More than just a collection of books, this library serves as a convergence of cultural wisdom, a space where local heritage and modern architecture engage in conversation. It is a place where students come to exchange ideas, learn, and interact, fostering a dynamic educational environment.
